Thing 2: Lifelong Learners

I enjoyed hearing the video about Lifelong Learners. I took notes so it was like I was back in a college class, enjoying the subject matter, and liking campus life. Back to reality... Of the 7 1/2 Habits of Successful Lifelong Learners, I think the easiest for me is to begin with the end in mind. The hardest for me is to play.In planning to learn something new, I can begin with the end in mind. Then I can break it down into steps for reaching that goal. Over the years, I've found that thinking of it all as a pyramid works best for me. The goal is the top block; the beginning steps are the bottom and the mid-way steps are the middle blocks.Once I've started to learn something new, the hard part is to remain curious and play. I get hard on myself to understand it all quicker. I also lose interest because I don't see it as learning and playing anymore; I see it as something that takes me longer to understand than I sense it's taking others. My inner voice is often my nemesis.
